    wmic on Intel motherboard

    nghihoang

This command:  wmic computersystem get model

returned Model of the computer running Windows 10.

Works fine on later Intel products.

However, I have an Intel motherboard DQ67SW PC running Windows 10,

      running this command returns empty.

I've tried to get to registry to manual edit BIOS information, but still return empty.

Nowhere in BIOS, I can edit the information.

Anyone has similar issue and wants to help me out.

      Thanks.

The issue with Board-level products is that System and Chassis data is typically left blank (the Integrator would typically add this information when they integrate the board into a system). To be sure of getting a value, you should always be looking at the board data. For example, try "wmic BaseBoard get Product".

          Hope this helps,
