    NUC7I3DNK TC2 Displayport

      Hi,

       

      I got myself this hardware (NUC7I3DNK TC2) and would like to use 2 displays with displayport input.

      I use HDMI to diplayport cable.

      I tried it with 3 different display already. all of them stay dark.

       

      Could someone tell me what i might be missing?

          Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities.

          I would like to know if you have tried to connect the Intel ® NUC with a straight HDMI to HDMI connection, does it work properly? 

          Also, to better assist you with your request, I will need to check some information about your computer. Please follow these steps: 

          1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R. 
          2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter.
          3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop). 
          4. Attach the report to this thread.

              Thank you for your response.

              I was reviewing the report you sent and it seems like the driver is a little outdated. Also, Please bear in mind that Intel* does not recommend the use of any kind of adapters. This is because we cannot test all of them, so we cannot guarantee that these are going to work. We can recommend you to update your graphics driver, that in some cases will fix the problem

              In order to update the graphics driver, please download the latest version from here, after the download, please follow the instructions below: 

              1 - Unzip the file to a designated location or folder. 
              2 - Right-click Windows Start icon and open Device Manager.
              3 - Click Yes when prompted for permission from User Account Control. 
              4 - Expand the Display adapters section. 
              5 - Right-click the Intel® graphics entry and select Update Driver Software. 
              6 - Click "Browse my computer for driver software".
              7 - Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
              8 - Click "Have Disk". 
              9 - Click "Browse". 
              10 - Access the designated location or folder, and access a folder called "Graphics". 
              11 - Select the file called "igdlh64" or "igdlh". 
              12 - Click Open, then click OK, and finally click Next. Drivers are now being installed. 
              13 - Reboot your computer

              Once updated, please test the connection again.

                Hi David,

                 

                the graphic has been updated but without any improvement.

                I am using a simple HDMI to DP cable.

                I have tested 4 of them already.

                 

                The monitor is working fine with my Geforce 690 gtx and DP mini to DP cable.

                 

                Could you tell me what you mean with adapters? I thought that I can use the HDMI ports to run a 4k Display.

                I don`t want to use a dongle like USB-C to whatever.

                  The recommended Dual Display Configuration for this Intel® NUC is the following:

                  2                HDMI                        HDMI                    4096x2160 at 60 Hz

                  Display Configurations for Multiple Displays to Intel® NUC

                  We will do further research to confirm if HDMI* to DisplayPort* is supported on this unit. Could you please provide more information about the cables you are using (Links if possible).

                  Since the HDMI* ports on this Intel® NUC support up to two displays at the maximum supported resolution of 4096 x 2160 @60 Hz, you may get different results if you use other cables/adapters.
